The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to be responsible for the implementation, upgrade, and support of desktop applications, computer and network infrastructure and other end-user devices and tools. The IT Technical Support Specialist will work closely with office personnel, factory staff, IT team members and/or external vendors. Applications supported will consist of a range of products and technologies, such as Outlook, Word, Shoretel, VMWare, Hyper V, as well as ‘systems’ applications, 3rd party applications, IT tools and core Microsoft ‘services’ such as Active Directory, email, Group Policies, SCCM, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, PC’s, network hardware, telephone, printer and other computer hardware, at factories and other assigned locations.

• Configure, maintain, and update network and workstation software and/or applications as required, including factory location, GO, scale houses & piling ground locations.

• Support all hardware and software systems at the factory level, including wireless network, internet access and internet security, as directed by Corporate IT.

• Support end-user hardware and software needs. Coordinate with and assist Operations technical personnel in plants with IT-related issues and projects as required.

• Consult and work closely with Boise Network Administrator and factory IT Factory Network Engineers performing assigned tasks as requested.

• Work closely and effectively with other IT programmers, operators, users and managers.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Advanced degree or Technical training or certificates preferred;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support and network support;
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities;
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Microsoft Office Suites.
• Experience in multi-site system environments.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies deployed in a Virtual Environment (VMWare).
• Experience supporting critical production services.
