National Sugar Marketing LLC is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager in Atlanta, GA. This position is responsible for the production planning, storage and inventory deployment strategies of NSM. The role manages a diverse portfolio of product offerings through a national distribution network required to meet supply demand. The incumbent manages two to three individuals and will work cross functionally to insure targeted service levels are achieved within cost guidelines.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager’s key focus is on optimizing inventory, resource and operational plans while achieving goals of reducing supply chain cost and optimizing customer service. This position directs the activities of the bulk and packaged Inventory Analyst(s) to achieve agreed service levels within the network; prepares a rolling master shipment and movement plan for NSM member locations, providing weekly updates to impacted stakeholders in operations, finance, sales and supply chain; and creates and executes inventory deployment plans for network distribution points, working with logistics, customer service and operations to meet plan and minimize cost.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Proactively address slow moving or obsolete product inventories, working with sales and operations to identify and execute run out strategies.

• Troubleshoot supply interruptions and potential service issues, develop and coordinate optimized recovery plans.

• Coordinate packaging material requirements with Sales and Procurement to assure adequate inventories.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, factories, external warehouses and transportation peers to plan expectations and inventory flow.

• Empower and mentor employees, work through team to accomplish department goals and to manage day to day activity.

• Evaluate staff performance, identify and address employee training and coaching needs for bench strength.

• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned as a key member of the Supply Chain team.

• Up to 25% travel

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• Four-year degree with an emphasis in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Finance.
• Six years of progressive work and supervisory experience in a Supply Chain or Operations environment.
• Proficiency in managing an MRP system across multiple locations and sku’s.
• Understanding of supply chain, quality and production planning in a food grade environment is a plus.
