IT Middleware Systems Analyst

The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking an IT Middleware Analyst to assist in implementation and support of new system applications and tools as well as in upgrades of existing applications and/or code deployments of currently utilized applications. The IT Middleware Analyst will support a range of products and technologies in the Middleware space, such as Web Services, JMS Messaging, Managed File Transfer, Batch scheduling, in addition to ‘systems’ applications and IT tools such as the core Microsoft ‘services’ like Active Directory, SharePoint, email, Group Policies, SCCM, etc. The IT Middleware Analyst will work with other developers and project teams, to design, develop and assist with the testing, training, deployment and ongoing support of all Amalgamated Sugar SharePoint sites, websites and mobile applications.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work directly with other IT team members, users and vendors in the planning, design, development, implementation and deployment of applications and system integrations.

• Provide support and on-going performance tuning for SQL Server Database, reporting and BI environments.

• Provide installation and tools support of Web Services and Web Server technologies.

• Assist with Development of SQL queries and stored procedures for use in reporting or to support applications.

• Support various database-driven applications used in the Amalgamated Sugar environment.

• Perform configuration and tools support of core Microsoft ‘services’ such as Active Directory, email, GPSs, SCCM, SharePoint, etc.

• Analyze and diagnose user issues, facilitate and engage in discussions with users and team members to identify potential solutions.

• Create technical documentation explaining program functions (document code), database structures, support/troubleshooting information and integrations with other applications

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2-year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Mathematics (or satisfactory combination of education and experience)
• 3+ years of experience in administration, support, tuning and tools (including complex SQL Queries) for various Database platforms/technologies.
• Knowledge of current programming languages and coding procedures including strong knowledge of two or more of the following: CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, C#, ASP.NET, C, C++, .NET
• Strong scripting skills including PowerShell, VBS and batch.
• Strong understanding of Operating systems including Windows and Unix/Linux
• Experience is supporting deployment and troubleshooting of Web Servers, Web Services and Messaging application in production environments.
• Solid experience creating SQL queries, stored procedures and DB views.
• Ability to create database design recommendations based on business rules and use case documents.
