National Sugar Marketing LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant-Logistics Accounting Supervisor in Atlanta, GA. This position supervises inventory accounting staff and oversees the inventory transaction and reporting process for sugar, to ensure accurate partner reporting of real-time available for sale inventories.

The Senior Accountant-Logistics Accounting Supervisor is responsible to oversee and perform the processing of system inventory transactions for shipping, receiving, production, and other activities at third party and NSM locations for all NSM members’ sugar. This position oversees and performs inventory audits at third party locations, including regularly scheduled cycle counts; and oversees and performs monthly inventory reconciliations for multiple locations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end billings for NSM warehouses.

• Build and maintain professional working business relationships with internal and external warehouse personnel.

• Responsible for identifying and executing process improvement initiatives, working in cooperation with Controller, other departments, and third parties.

• Post and balance other systems transactions into ERP system.

• Prepare and post month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Maintain warehouse master list.

• Prepares schedules and reconciliations for annual audit.

• Serve as group lead for special projects.

• Performs other business-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in accounting;
• Inventory experience preferred;
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
