Facility Procurement Manager
The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC – Nampa, Idaho

The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking a Facility Procurement Manager based at our Nampa, ID factory. This role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services to support factory operations and the supervision of administrative staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage all site procurement functions including sourcing, quoting, purchase order issuance, expediting and supplier management, ensuring cost, quality and service goals are met or exceeded

• Utilize formal competitive bidding process to obtain quotations; review and approve purchase orders; ensure accuracy and compliance with department policy and procedures

• Identify and evaluate new supply sources and manage sourcing decisions in conjunction with inter-departmental stakeholders

• Establish supply contracts; negotiate favorable pricing, terms and conditions and maintain effective supplier relations

• Supervise support staff and manage performance to include evaluations, guidance/mentoring, hiring, and progressive discipline; maintain a professional, effective and efficient workplace

• Train and manage staff to established job procedures and maintain accountability to company policies and procedures and department performance goals

• Read, understand and implement oral and written policies, safety and environmental requirements, and other company policies

• Work on various projects as assigned by the Director of Purchasing, and other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred;
• Minimum 4 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control and logistics; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• APICS or ISM certification preferred
• Proficient with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Familiar with ERP system functionality in procurement, inventory and logistics; experience with JD Edwards a plus
