The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking Maintenance Leadmen that will be responsible to maintain a safe working environment by following all the safety rules and procedures including the effective use of all safety devices and equipment. Maintain AIB and SQF standards throughout the warehouse and storage facilities assisting in the maintenance, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds. Complete other warehouse related efforts directed to the improvement of company warehouse operations. We are seeking one Maintenance Leadman for our Brighton warehouse and one for our Loveland warehouse.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Dispatch bulk loads of dry sugar products.

• Clean, inspect, and prepare bulk railcars for the loading of sugar. Residual sugar is bagged, weight, recorded as sweepings, and then sent back to the factory for reprocessing.

• Load bulk railcars with sugar and trucks with bulk or bagged sugar to be shipped to various customers.

• Ensure that all railcars and trucks are properly weighted, sealed, and all the paperwork is accurately filled out and given to the clerk for keying into the system.

• Maintain a safe working environment by following all the safety rules and procedures including the effective use of all safety devices and equipment.

• Communicate orally and in writing. Read and understand oral and written policies, safety and environmental requirements, and other company policies.

• Maintain proper documentation on all orders and maintain proper inventory control procedures.

• Assist with the supervision of employees engaged in the stacking, storing and shipping of sugar in and out of the warehouse.

• Act as replacement for the Warehouse Manager when they are not on site or unavailable.

• Assist with the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operation.

• Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions.

• Clean and inspect magnets and scalping screens to ensure that the product is free of contaminates.

• Maintain AIB and SQF standards throughout the warehouse and storage facilities.

• Assist in the maintenance, sanitation, and overall cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding grounds.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• Must pass a forklift training class;
• Be familiar with HACCP, GMP, and Safety policies and procedures;
• Must possess a valid driver’s license before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
