Temporary Safety Administrative Assistant

The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking a temporary Safety Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and technical assistance to the Nampa’s District Safety Manager.

• Maintain and update all location safety files in line with Company policies and government regulations. This will include Lockout procedures, Confined Space Entry Permits, Safety Data Sheets,

• Maintain all paperwork submitted for modified duty and safety programs. This will include, but not limited to, incident reports, doctors’ Activity Status Reports, employees’ safety file.

• Maintain and update all paperwork related to safety and operational training. This will include training in the OSHA required topics, toolbox meetings, Human Resources, Environmental, operational Work Instruction, One Point Lessons and mobile equipment.

• Direct inquiries from safety information to the appropriate person overseeing that particular area.

• Answer incoming phone calls as they pertain to safety and general related questions.

• Communicates orally and in writing. Read and understand oral and written policies, safety and environmental requirements, and other company policies.

• Maintains records and reports on Nampa’s BasicSafe software system.

• Participate in department meetings and special projects.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Completion of high school;
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in safety and manufacturing environment;
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
