National Sugar Marketing LLC is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Seattle, WA. This position is accountable for order flow from NSM customers and brokers with regards to ordering, shipping and invoicing refined sugar products. The position nurtures the relationship with an assigned group of accounts and is the customer advocate for shipment conformance and on time deliveries from NSM Shipping locations.

The Customer Service Representative is the key point of contact for order flow, service and delivery interface specific to an assigned group of customers. This position accurately and correctly inputs customer orders, special instructions, price confirmation and shipment information into a JDE systems platform on a timely basis. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, factories, external warehouses and transportation vendors in regard to order setup and process flow.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage the transmittal of all forms of customer information, order changes, shipment variations and cancellations directly with affected stakeholders within the supply chain.

• Proactively document customer complaints and nonconformance issues using the company complaint system, ensure notification to the appropriate functional areas and prepare return authorizations as necessary.

• Assist functional departments with resolution of customer invoice variances, short pays, customer document requests and other matters as needed.

• Required travel 5% to 10% annually.

• Provide departmental backup and fill in for other Customer Service Representative as needed.

Job Requirements

• Two-year Associate Degree with an emphasis in Business Administration or Sales or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
• Two years of progressive work experience in a commercial sales or customer service environment.
• Understanding of supply chain processes or methods in a food grade manufacturing environment a plus.
• Has a solid track record of successful customer service experience with demonstrated examples of account interface and relationship management.
