The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking an Administrative Assistant to, under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, provide supervision of office operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative duties from normal correspondence to technical reports, including the handling of confidential matters.

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in the preparation of the Department Budget and monitors expenditures.

• Meet and interface with others as required at all levels of Company, as well as with representatives from the outside.

• Work with NSM our marketing group scheduling orders for customers as well as changes.

• Manage all administration services for the Portland Warehouse. Accounts receivable, Accounts payable
Inventory control.

• Communicate orally and in writing. Read and understand oral and written policies, safety and environmental requirements, and other company policies.

• Responsible for selecting, training and development of the office personnel.

• Assist with the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive climate in the office environment.

• Filing and tracking of reports related to warehouse operations.

• Answer telephones as necessary.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• Completion of high school;
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in office administration and supervision;
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
