Job Description

The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking a Senior Sourcing Analyst to manage and coordinate all aspects of strategic sourcing, procurement and project management. This will include category management, contract creation, administration and management, supplier relationship management, RFx development and management, benchmarking, spend analysis, and internal stakeholder management.

More specifically, the Senior Sourcing Analyst will manage and coordinate all aspects of strategic sourcing, category/commodity management, and procurement for assigned areas including mill, distribution and corporate locations.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead RFx process for sources of supply.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships for assigned categories and ensure goals and objectives are being met; Identify and qualify new suppliers for services and products.
• Ensure sourcing solutions align with and support accomplishment of business objectives across dimensions of service, total cost, security of supply, quality, and appropriate compliance or regulatory needs.
• Lead the negotiation of contracts (linked to departmental sourcing strategies) for use in multi-site locations and work closely with TASCO Legal counsel to ensure minimization of risk.
• Ability to form and maintain strategic partnerships with key leadership and members of TASCO’s engineering, operational, and maintenance departments.
• Play an integral part in the ongoing strategic planning, third party spends and key supplier initiatives.
• Conduct detailed analyses and reporting on assigned areas of spend, suppliers and market data.
• Ability to lead supplier selection through the appropriate sourcing process.
• Support of departmental policy and procedure requirements.
• Identify and qualify potential suppliers (and products/services). Ensure that beneficial, ethical and open supplier relationships are created and maintained, providing all suppliers equal access to supply Company requirements.
• Provide leadership to sourcing and purchasing team and other internal stakeholders. Delegate appropriate assignments and tasks to other team members.
• Analyze company spending activities and trends to identify opportunities and risks for assigned stakeholders/businesses; assist in developing more competitive supply market (insource vs. outsource, national vs. global sourcing).

Job Requirements

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • 7+ years’ experience in a strategic sourcing, purchasing, inventory control and logistics; • APICS or ISM certification • Ability to comprehend and apply Strategic Sourcing and Procurement principles, policies, concepts and standards and procedures, including price analysis, negotiations, ethics, and Procurement law. Experience with conducting complex analysis projects. • Understand strategies, risk and opportunities within assigned categories; facilitate development of strategy and identify risk and opportunities; develop and execute strategy implementation. Understand contract administration, laws and liability; communicate with attorneys and business units to resolve contractual issues. Understand materials planning and reporting, demand forecasting, product and materials; maintain optimal inventory levels; proficient in MRP system. • Proficient in MS Office applications including, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP or JDE system; be able to apply various systems to Company's Procurement activities. Hands on experience working with a computerized procurement system, preferably JDE. e-Procurement technology; inventory and capital equipment tracking systems; product specifications database. Knowledge of procurement arrangements including ERS, JIT, Consignment, Vendor Managed Inventory, E-Catalog, E-Procurement, E-Source, etc. • Experience sourcing MRO supplies, raw materials, chemicals, and/or process materials.
