National Sugar Marketing LLC is seeking a Logistics Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia. This position performs a variety of logistical work tasks including facilitating rail and truck product movements, transport cost data maintenance, generating customer delivery reports and other activities as assigned. The incumbent operates with minimal supervision and supports the supply chain process with data analysis key to reducing cost and improving service.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain and ensure system accuracy for freight cost data and invoice payment process.

• Manage department reporting for loaded and empty railcar movements, routing corrections, diversions and equipment supply.

• Assist transport providers with operational issues at ship or delivery points in collaboration with customer service and shipping peers.

• Review, audit, and summarize transportation data and provide executive summaries.

• Recommend cost-savings initiatives and assist leaders with implementation.

• Oversee carrier compliance & contract records, maintain current carrier certificates of insurance and prepare documentation for carrier claims.

• Assist functional peers with resolution of freight payment exceptions, shipment billing, proof of delivery or other data as needed.

• Manages rate database.

• Communicate clearly and develop informed relationships with peers, ship points and transportation providers to facilitate delivery and cost improvement goals.

• Provide departmental backup and fill in for Logistics Coordinator as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Associate Degree with an emphasis in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
• Two years of progressive work experience in a transportation, warehousing or a logistics environment.
• Has business exposure to transportation management systems, rail or truck movements and freight payment processes.
• Understanding of supply chain mechanics and processes in a food grade manufacturing environment a plus.
